In order to rally the strength of alumni and jointly compose a new chapter for the college, on the morning of October 3, the 1995 English major alumni of our college returned to the campus and held a seminar on high-quality development of language services for local economic and social progress in Room C411 of the college building. Party Secretary of the college Xiao Guifang, Deputy Party Secretary He Shiting, Professor Chen Erchun from the English Department, Director of the Student Affairs Office and Secretary of the Youth League Committee Han Min, as well as the 1995 English major alumni of our college attended this symposium. During the event, the 1995 English major alumni of our college visited the School History Museum on the Sanjiang Campus. Led by the commentator, they revisited the school's history of running the institution and felt the profound cultural heritage of their alma mater. After the visit, the alumni moved to Room C411 of the college building to attend the symposium and the seminar on high-quality development of language services for local economic and social progress.

At the beginning of the meeting, He Shiting, on behalf of the college, extended a warm welcome to the returning alumni. During the meeting, Xiao Guifang pointed out that currently, as it is a crucial period for planning the "15th Five-Year Plan", there is an urgent need to gather the wisdom of alumni to jointly deliberate on the college's development strategies. Subsequently, Kang Hui, an outstanding alumni representative from the 1995 batch and the first graduate of the English major of our college, shared his personal experience of using foreign languages as a tool to explore career development in multiple fields, encouraging junior students to be good at discovering their own characteristics and identifying areas where they can create value for society. At the same time, on behalf of all the alumni, Kang Hui expressed gratitude to the teachers of the alma mater and said that classmate friendship is the most precious wealth for students. Finally, Xiao Guifang once again expressed welcome to the alumni returning to their alma mater and looked forward to their continued attention and support for the development of the school and the college, contributing their wisdom and strength to the construction of the alma mater. The symposium concluded successfully in a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere.
