News Network - On the afternoon of March 18, our college held a signing ceremony and exchange seminar with Ganzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Ganzhou International Chamber of Commerce) in Room C411 of the School of Foreign Languages Building. A delegation led by Luo Linsheng, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of Ganzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade (GCCPIT) and Vice President of Ganzhou International Chamber of Commerce (GICC), and Zeng Ying, Rotating President of GICC and Chairman of Ganzhou Rongqiang Technology Development Co., Ltd., visited our School. Present at the event were Xiao Guifang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Xie Qiu’en, Vice Dean (in charge of daily work), He Shiting, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Li Huoxiu, Vice Dean, and Liu Shaochen, Assistant to the Dean. The meeting was hosted by Li Huoxiu, Vice Dean of our School.
At the meeting, Li Huoxiu extended a warm welcome to Luo Linsheng and his delegation, and expressed gratitude to GCCPIT (GICC) for its long-term support to various undertakings of the School. She briefly introduced the college’s progress in social services and university-enterprise cooperation, with a focus on the research achievements made as the Jiangxi Private Economy “Going Global” Research Institute oriented towards countries along the “Belt and Road”. Xie Qiu’en detailed the School’s basic situation in terms of capital investment, school-running scale, educational philosophy, discipline construction, and international exchanges and cooperation. He emphasized that the college has always adhered to the characteristic positioning of “Foreign Languages + Nonferrous Metals”, actively promoted international education and cooperation, and strived to cultivate interdisciplinary talents meeting the needs of the times. Subsequently, Xiao Guifang noted in her speech that the School has been committed to social services, actively cooperated with relevant departments, and actively responded to social demands. She also shared the college's experience in promoting international Chinese education, highlighting its efforts in disseminating Hakka culture and red culture, and stated that the School can support cultural exchanges for enterprises in their overseas development in the future.
Luo Linsheng fully introduced the history, nature, and functions of GCCPIT (GICC), expressed a strong willingness to cooperate, and elaborated on the organization's important role in promoting international economic and trade exchanges. What’s more, he looked forward to leveraging the professional strengths of our School to improve GCCPIT (GICC)’s capacity in serving enterprises and facilitating the “Go Global” strategy of local enterprises.
During the exchange session, Li Huoxiu sincerely thanked GCCPIT (GICC) for its attention and recognition of the School, and proposed potential cooperation areas including accompanying translation and exhibition organization. Finally, the two parties signed a cooperation agreement and took a group photo.
This exchange laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between the two parties. The signed framework cooperation agreement, with specific projects as the cornerstone and cooperation advanced on an One-Project-One-Discussion basis, will help realize resource sharing and complementary advantages among universities, governments, and enterprises, and contribute wisdom and strength to local economic development and opening up to the outside world.
