In late May and late July, the Seminar on Green Development for Developing Countries and the Seminar on Digital Economy Governance for Latin American Countries were held in Ganzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan successively. Both were sponsored by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), MOFCOM. During this period, upon invitation by the Ganzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau, the School of Foreign Languages at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology supported the seminar delegation by providing assistance with translation tasks.

To facilitate the seamless provision of language services and translation support, our institution took the initiative to collaborate closely with the Ganzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and other relevant departments. We meticulously selected seasoned faculty members from our English Department and Foreign Language Teaching & Research Section to take on these vital roles. After a rigorous selection process, Mr. Wang Xianming from the English Department and Ms. Yang Yue from the Foreign Language Teaching & Research Section, were entrusted with the task of accompanying the training participants as translators. Together, they embarked on study tours to Zhanggong District, Ganzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, Xinfeng County, Quannan County in Ganzhou, Longhua District in Shenzhen, and various locations in Dongguan.

Throughout the tour, Mr. Wang and Ms. Yang imparted invaluable insights to the participants about the cities of Ganzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, covering aspects such as their unique city profiles, rich cultural landscapes, vibrant international industrial collaborations, digital economy development, agricultural advancements, and the vocational education sector. Their meticulous preparation and exemplary performance were widely acclaimed by both the training program leadership and the participants.

Both Mr. Wang Xianming and Ms. Yang Yue expressed their utmost honor in participating in the accompanying translation work for such a significant study tour. Despite the challenges inherent in the task, they found it incredibly rewarding, gaining invaluable experience that will undoubtedly benefit their future work. Moreover, their close interactions with the study tour leaders and participants imparted a deep understanding of the significance of telling China's story well and effectively communicating China's voice to the world. To see foreign participants gain a more profound insight into China's development through their translations filled them with an indescribable sense of accomplishment.
