In accordance with the decree issued by Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Microgrid Key Equipment Engineering Technology Center hosted by JXUST was approved to be provincial key engineering center.

The research facility aims to address the following problems, large consumption of primary energy, great loss of smart microgrid key equipments and under-developed microgrid technology. The large-scale integrated R&D platform perform state-of-the-art investigations into the fields of micro-grid unit topology type, high-efficiency, energy-saving and low-noise key equipment research and development, micro-grid key equipment fault diagnosis, micro-grid intelligent coordinated control, and intelligent micro-grid technology engineering application.
